Welcome to Equilibrium Healing. My name is Rula Zaghal and I am the founder of this practice.I am a therapist and counsellor with an academic background in criminology, sociology, and political science, and professional training in counselling, mental health, and addictions. My work is grounded in ethical, client-centred, and trauma-informed care, with a strong emphasis on emotional safety, self-awareness, and sustainable change.
I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the lasting impact of trauma. My practice is a safe, inclusive, and respectful space for all, where clients are welcomed as they are and supported without judgment or pressure to move faster than they are ready.
My approach integrates evidence-based modalities with deep attention to the therapeutic relationship. I value collaboration, reflection, and practical tools that help clients build boundaries, reconnect with their sense of self, and develop resilience in their daily lives.
As an immigrant and a parent, I bring lived experience that informs my sensitivity to cultural identity, responsibility, and the broader social systems that shape people’s experiences. I am committed to ongoing learning, supervision, and professional integrity, and I view therapy as a partnership rooted in trust, consistency, and care.
